Volkswagen has officially unveiled the ID 4 GTX which is supposed to carry the sportiness flag of its tram division, right now.
It offers a power of 299 hp from its electric motor clutch and a range of 480 km.

Behind the three new letters lies a big story, and these are supposed to mark the sporty models in the company's electric age.
This is the first car to use the new GTX badge, which should take the place of the GTI at least in the electric versions.
The GTX gets a whole set of external extras and a cabin in the passenger compartment to differentiate it and mark the designation.
Official torque data does not yet exist but official performance is there and there.
The GTX will complete the classic acceleration to 100 km / h in 6.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 km / h.
Each of the two motors here drives a different axis thus creating a dual drive.
Power distribution is managed by a computer that determines how to use the available torque to balance efficiency, performance and stability.
The default is to send the power to the rear axle only, with the front engine used only when additional traction is required.
Volkswagen offers the GTX an optional sports package with a 15mm lowering and also a sports plus package that adds adaptive shocks.
In Israel, we are still waiting for Volkswagen's first electric swallow (which will probably arrive here in the next model year) and only then will we know if this sporty version will also reach us.
