The American specialized press announces the arrival of the small Citroën Ami in the car-sharing fleet that Free2Move, a global mobility company owned by Stellantis, is bringing to the United States. Meanwhile, the My Ami Cargo version is ready for its debut in Europe, designed for the zero-emission micro-mobility of professionals.
This version combines all the benefits of Ami with a total usable volume of over 400 liters and a payload of 140 kg, thanks to an optimized and modular space in place of the passenger seat.
My Ami Cargo combines the load capacity, the functionality of a mobile office and the advantages of the electric motor: zero CO2 emissions for sustainable mobility and freedom of access to areas subject to traffic restrictions, ease of charging in just 3 hours from a standard 220 V socket, the peace of mind associated with electric driving and optimization of operating costs. It offers protection against impacts and bad weather, a greater load capacity than a 2 or 3-wheeled vehicle and is more agile than a higher segment commercial vehicle, thanks to its extreme compactness and easy handling.
For the opening of orderability, scheduled for early June, the innovative digital experience developed for Ami through the online sales site will also be extended to My Ami Cargo with associated offers and services, accessible to all professionals.
Inside, in the passenger area, there is a storage space of 260 liters which can have a payload of 140 kg, obtained by replacing the passenger seat with a modular and protected container made up of 7 polypropylene dividers.
The vertical partition wall separates the driving area from the loading area, and is positioned to offer sufficient space and protect the driver from his load, while ensuring the best possible driving comfort.
The horizontal modular shelf that acts as a cover and can support a weight of 40 kg has been obtained on the upper side to transform it into a mobile office. A shaped area, in A4 format, has been created to hold documents such as a delivery note, an order book or a tablet. In the back, a recess has been made to hold the objects placed in this housing in place.
Modular, the shelf can be raised both towards the driver for better access to the storage area from the outside, and towards the passenger side door to easily reach the contents directly from the driver's seat.
The shelf is also removable and thus allows you to place objects whose height exceeds that of the container and in this case can be positioned behind the seat.
The lower shelf of the container is adjustable on 2 levels.
A closed and separate storage compartment has been designed in the rear area to hold items such as smartphones or sunglasses.
A button activates the opening of its upper part.
Overall, My Ami Cargo has a usable volume of over 400 liters.
