A body was found late Friday afternoon on the banks of a canal in Gonfreville-l'Orcher, near Le Havre, and it would be a man wanted in a murder case committed at the end of April , we learned on Saturday from the prosecution.
"It is, a priori", the body "of the ex-father-in-law [...] of the victim of Notre-Dame-du-Bec", north of Le Havre, a fifty-something woman found dead at her home on last week, Bruno Dieudonné, prosecutor in Le Havre, told AFP.
The deceased man "was actively sought by investigators within the framework of the information file opened against X of the murder chief (concerning the victim of ND du Bec, editor's note) at the beginning of the week" specified the magistrate.
"An autopsy will take place quickly as part of the investigation opened to search for the causes of death, conducted under the authority of the prosecution," he added.
A case in the case
For the record, the fifty-year-old was found dead on April 29 by her son who lived with her.
"We favor the criminal track [...] The findings made at the crime scene suggest that the death is consecutive to the intervention of a third party", had indicated the prosecutor of the Republic of Le Havre, Bruno Dieudonné.
