Eden Elena's big moment has finally arrived, when she took the stage at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam and performed her first rehearsal. In fact, this is the big moment for all Eurovision fans who had to wait two whole years between the Tel Aviv Eurovision Song Contest and the Dutch Eurovision Song Contest. We all remember Eden crying while receiving the live announcement of last year's cancellation of the Eurovision Song Contest, but now it's all history and the Israeli delegation has come to shut up all the visitors and bring Israel to the sixth consecutive Eurovision final.

Towards 15:00 Israel time, a few minutes late that is not related to the Israeli delegation, Eden Elena and the dancers took the stage in the Ahoy Hall in Rotterdam.

For half an hour the band performed the song three times.

Eden herself will be wearing a glittery white mini dress, and her dancers will be wearing black pants and a shirt that matches Eden’s wear.

On the stage itself, the LED screens display the image of Eden in the neon-light style of the 80s.

Throughout the song there seems to be no gimmick, and after the "Next Eurovision Star" era we got used to fireworks - this time there are none.

The gimmick comes towards the last part of the song, as the dancers rip the dress off and she is left dressed in black.

At the end of the song, put on the hair extension that is remembered from the end of the clip for the song.

In the first performance, Eden seems excited about the class, which is not at all surprising and she is not the only one.

The performance was a bit stiff and there was even a glitch in exposing the bottom dress which made Eden grin and miss a line.

Journalists from Europe who watched back were not impressed. Radio presenter and blogger Martin Palmer said: "I hated changing the dress, the song does not do it for me, it is not memorable." With the whistle note that Eden performs at the end of the song, she actually succeeded, which made Daniel Koch from Germany respond: "Sounds like she feels much more comfortable with the high notes." Giovanni Sercino from Italy was actually impressed and said: "Very good work for Israel."

After the first performance Eden Elena repeated the number two more times, and this time she seems to be gaining confidence and even manages to enjoy the show. This young girl has a groove and is able to grab the camera. After the other two performances, the compliments also started to arrive. Pedro Santos from Portugal declared: "We have a winner!", And David Closs got excited: "This is my first wow for today." Lisa Jane Louise from the UK also noticed the confidence gained from show to show and concluded: "I trust the Israelis. After rehearsals, they go to the viewing room, they know how to fix what needs to be fixed. "

It is time to emphasize that the first rehearsal is not for journalists nor for bloodthirsty talkbackers, but for the delegation itself, to learn what works, what does not work, and what needs to change.

In three days, Wednesday at 17:00, Eden Elena will take the stage once again for the second rehearsal where they are supposed to fix everything that didn't work, change shooting angles if necessary, and make small updates.

And what do the bets say?

After long months in which Eden Elena failed to make it to the top ten of the first semi-final, Israel finally managed to overtake Croatia and slip into tenth place.

Recall that from each of the semi-finals ten countries emerge, and they join the six qualifiers automatically - Italy, Britain, Germany, Spain, and France, and of course the host Netherlands.

In the overall chances of winning Eden Elena is currently ranked 17th, her record achievement since the stakes opened.

For comparison, from the moment Set Me Free was chosen even before the last upgrade, Israel shuffled in places 30-40.

If the bets are indeed an indication, you will probably have to turn yourself in for almost four hours on a Saturday night, May 22nd.
