Tonight (Tuesday), the first semi-final competition of Eurovision 2021 will be held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Israeli representative Eden Elena will take the stage in the 12th position out of 16 countries, and will perform the song "Set Me Free". Will the performance be enough for her to be among the ten countries that advance to the finals? Join the live broadcast at 10 p.m.
Before the semi-finals, a pro-Palestinian demonstration took place outside the hall against the backdrop of the fighting in Gaza. Several dozen protesters carried Palestinian flags and signs that read "Liberate Palestine." A Dutch protester told Walla! Culture: "I want to be with the oppressed and not with the oppressors." A Palestinian demonstrator added: "We want to make our voices heard about what is happening in Gaza, in Jerusalem. We believe that we must demonstrate during the Eurovision Song Contest. This is our big stage." Referring to the barrage of rockets that Hamas is raining on Israel, he said: "It does not just happen, it comes in response to something. When people are under occupation, they must do something."
Some of the demonstrators started shouting "liberate Palestine, Israel terrorists" after discovering that we were Israelis, and did not agree to be interviewed.
Some strongly asked us to leave the place.
Police officers stationed at the scene did not allow them to cross the road towards the arena.

On Thursday, the second semi-final will be held, in which we will find out which ten more countries will advance to the final, which will be held this coming Saturday evening.
These twenty countries will join the top five countries that receive an automatic ticket to the final - Italy, Britain, Germany, Spain, and France.
The one who will complete the final picture is of course the host country, the Netherlands.
All transmitters are broadcast here starting at 22:00.
