A 17-year-old teenager suspected of having seriously injured his mother with a knife, Tuesday, in the city center of Grenoble (Isère), was arrested and taken into police custody for attempted murder.
Aged 51, the victim took refuge on the balcony of his home after receiving "ten stab wounds in the throat, thorax and back by his son," said the police, contacted by neighbors alerted by his cries and calls for help.
After breaking the door to the family apartment, the police arrested the alleged beating, a 17-year-old teenager, while he was hiding under a mattress.
He was "in a state of shock and covered in blood," added the police, confirming information from Dauphiné Libéré.
Two knives that may have been used in the assault were seized, specifies the regional daily.
The fifty-year-old was rescued shortly after 3 p.m. by firefighters and transported to Grenoble University Hospital in a state of absolute emergency.
Attack in particular in the carotid, its vital prognosis is engaged.
The Grenoble public prosecutor's office has opened a judicial investigation for “attempted voluntary homicide”.
The investigation was entrusted to the criminal brigade of the departmental security.
