During the challenging Corona period, company managers came to the understanding that employee formation days are important and there is a necessary need on the part of employees who worked mostly from home to have creative formation days in order to strengthen the sense of belonging of employees who did not feel company activities.

OneDay is an organization that organizes volunteer activities for young people and companies. The organization's goal is to enable young people and companies to volunteer in a variety of community activities that are tailored to their worldview and lifestyle, such as renovating homes for Holocaust survivors, food packaging, alleviating loneliness for the elderly, activities at a freedom farm for animals and more. To date, more than 40,000 volunteers have joined and thanks to them, we have become the leading volunteer organization in Israel in the field of young people and companies while assisting tens of thousands of needy people in a variety of fields throughout the country.

"We are happy to collaborate every year with hundreds of different companies, corporations and groups and organize significant volunteer days, formative and experiential days tailored to their characteristics and preferences. Through these collaborations we get to help tens of thousands of seniors, youth at risk, children with special needs, Animals and other important issues, "said Elad Blumenfeld, CEO of OneDay.

We turned to some human managers who will tell how the contribution to the community is important and necessary among the company's employees.

Accenture has an extensive social responsibility program on a wide range of topics such as: sustainability, helping the elderly and people with special needs, girls at risk, food basket distribution, computer donation for distance learning and pro bono projects for nonprofits.

To mark Earth Day, she partnered with OneDay to establish a community vegetable garden in Kfar Saba.

Residents of the area - a complex of nursing homes and a boarding school for people with special needs will enjoy the garden crop and will be able to plant additional vegetables there for their enjoyment.

"Contributing to the community is part of our business responsibility and we see it as an integral part of the day-to-day work of the company. Company employees enlisted for the task and enjoyed going out and working together, especially after the prolonged corona period that forced us all to work remotely. "Because they see it as an added value to day-to-day work. Companies that actively volunteer attract employees who are important to them to be involved and create a positive impact on the environment and the community," said Shelly Lev-Amdo, HR director at Accenture.

"The social work at NSO accompanies the company's activities since its inception, but there is no doubt that the expansion of work in the last year leads to a particularly great satisfaction that one of the incentives for this is the high willingness and responsiveness of employees, as individuals and teams, to work together. It is based on the unique program we developed between them - the promotion of girls and women and Israeli responsibility that is compatible with our being a Zionist Israeli company, "said Chen Federer, VP of Human Resources at NSO.

ALIBABA: Established therapeutic gardens for at-risk youth and treated families

As part of the activity, they established therapeutic gardens for at-risk youth and families with welfare patients. 50 employees of Alibaba's Development Center took part in value-based activities: the establishment of therapeutic gardens for at-risk youth and families with welfare patients and the establishment of an educational playground for children at risk in Rishon Lezion.

Lehi Tzelnik, director of Alibaba's Development Center in Israel: '' We at Alibaba believe in contributing to society as an integral part of our vision and our values.
