The author of the slap to Emmanuel Macron, Damien T., will sleep in prison tonight.
He was sentenced to 18 months in prison, 14 of which were suspended, with a committal warrant, this Thursday during his trial in Valence.
The case of this 28-year-old man went to immediate appearance, two days after the events which aroused unanimous condemnation from the political world.
Damien T. also receives a ban on the possession of weapons for five years, definitive ban on exercising in the public service, and is also deprived of his civil rights for three years.
