The case had remained unsolved for more than 30 years.
Tried before the Assize Court of the Somme since the beginning of the week for the rape and murder Isabelle Mesnage in 1986, a sentence of 30 years of criminal imprisonment with two-thirds of security was required this Saturday before the court in against Jacques Rançon.
"In Jacques Rançon's mind, everything is sexual, violent sexuality", launched general counsel Anne-Laure Sandretto against Rançon, already sentenced in 2018 to life imprisonment for the rapes and murders of two women in Perpignan in 1997 and 1998.
