It seems: the cult show "Michael" will come to an end after nearly a thousand plays, which lasted for about 13 years.

Walla!

Culture has learned that the upcoming shows are likely to be the latest, and its creators are considering following them down to the screen on "Michael."

According to a knowledgeable source, this is due to feelings of exhaustion among some of the show's staff.

The show will say goodbye to the audience in a final series of performances.

The next two performances will take place on July 18 and 19 together.

"Michael", which was defined by its creators as "a tragic comedy for five participants and a mattress" and centers on the annual memorial service held by the Brosh family for their son Michael, was first staged in 2007 as a final thesis by Avi Dangor at the School of Visual Theater in Jerusalem.

In 2009 it was adopted by the Tmuna Theater, and a year later won three awards at the Golden Hedgehog Fringe Awards, including Best Performance.

The play received many positive reviews from the audience and the media and there were those who compared it to the works of Hanoch Levin.

Signed as director Itai Wieser, and in addition to Dangor, it features Hila Goldenberg, Meital Raz, Natalia Faust and Nadav Hollander, who also created the music.

In 2012, Asi Cohen joined the Michael Ensemble, and the show also featured Liat Har Lev, Tom Yaar, Moni Moshonov and others.

Last year the creators of the play planned to celebrate the thousandth play and then came the corona and went on strike the world of culture and the show was canceled.

It is not known at this time if there will also be a third season.

In addition, at the beginning of last year, two of the characters - Dangor as Dobby and Goldberg as Rebecca - starred in a digital insurance advertising campaign.

While the event "Michael" together is probably coming to an end - the show's star Avi Dangor has recently started appearing in another show called "The End".

This is a musical featuring 12 actors, dancers and a band, including Idan Alterman and Joy Rieger.
