A man is suspected of having stabbed his ex-girlfriend and a man who was at his side on Sunday evening in Marseille, we learned from corroborating sources.
The alleged perpetrator was arrested and taken into custody, the police headquarters said.
When the marine firefighters arrived, the two victims, aged around 40, were in cardio-respiratory arrest.
Dozens of feminicides in France
According to France 3 Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur, the two victims would be the suspect's ex-companion and his new companion.
The facts occurred around 6 p.m., in the 11th arrondissement of Marseille.
The investigation was entrusted to the departmental security.
