Do you use Apple products?

You should know: The company has updated the list of products that may pose a danger to people who use medical means, such as a pacemaker.

The technology giant has already addressed the dangers with the launch of the iPhone 12, and now adds the iPods headphones, Apple Watch watches, the smart speaker - HomePod, iPads and mac computers to the list.

To prevent potential interference, according to Apple, users should keep the product at least 15 cm away from medical equipment during normal use, or about 30 cm in case the iPhone is wirelessly charged.

The company also recommends that clients consult a doctor.

"Under certain conditions, magnets and electromagnetic fields can interfere with medical devices. For example, defibrillators and implanted pacemakers may include sensors that respond to magnets and radio connections in the short term," the Apple website said.

It was further emphasized that "certain other Apple products contain magnets that are not likely to interfere with medical devices."
