A design that combines tradition and modernity, ensuring a higher dynamics on the road. The Porsche 911 Targa, a car that made the history of the Stuttgart house, is a car that combines elegance and sportiness. The typical feature of this car continues to be represented by the innovative fully automatic roof system which re-proposes - as in the legendary 1965 Targa - the wide wraparound metal band behind the front seats and which is elegantly connected to the wraparound rear window. The whole roof and rear car can be opened and closed in just 19 seconds. The heart of the 911 Targa 4 and 4S, both with all-wheel drive, is the three-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder flat engine. In particular, the 911 Targa 4 now delivers an output of 283 kW (385 hp) and, with the optional Sport Chrono Package, it goes from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds, which is a tenth of a second less than the previous model.

The engine of the 911 Targa 4S instead develops a nominal power of 331 kW (450 hp) and, under the same conditions, reaches 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds, equal to four tenths of a second less than the previous generation.

The top speed of the 911 Targa 4 is 289 km / h (+ 2 km / h), while that of the 4S reaches 304 km / h (+ 3 km / h).

The typical 911 design is represented by the flat and elongated bonnet, the sloping windshield and the roofline that slopes gently towards the rear.

The wheel arches are particularly pronounced, the rear is firm and clearly emphasizes the horizontal lines.

Ansa Motori was able to make a test drive of about 500 km of the most powerful version, the 450 hp. A truly fun car to drive and which, thanks to the four-wheel drive, transmits safety in driving even at high speeds. With the car uncovered there is never any interference with the wind and therefore you can drive in the open even on the motorway without any nuisance. But it is above all on extra-urban journeys and on roads full of curves that the 911 Targa gives its best.

Powerful, dynamic, fun and with a particular line, which certainly does not let go unnoticed, the 911 Targa is easy to drive thanks to all the countless driver assistance systems. Both new Targas come as standard with eight-speed dual clutch transmission (PDK) and Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel drive as standard to offer maximum driving pleasure. Alternatively, the 911 Targa 4S can be ordered with the newly developed seven-speed manual gearbox, with which the Sport Chrono Package is included. The electronically controlled variable damping system PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) is also part of the standard equipment. And if the weather is rainy, the 911 Targa features the Porsche Wet system which - thanks to sensors mounted in the front wheel housings - detects the presence of water on the road surface and signals the driver to manually switch to 'wet' mode.

For the first time, the Porsche InnoDrive system and the advanced Smartlift function are available in the 911 Targa. The first, which is reserved for versions with PDK, extends the functions of the active Cruise Control through a predictive optimization of the driving speed with anticipation of up to three km.

Based on the data from the navigation system, the optimal acceleration and deceleration values are calculated, which the car automatically applies via the engine, PDK gearbox and braking system. The system automatically takes into account curves and slopes and - if desired - also speed limits.

Using video and radar sensors, the system detects traffic conditions and even the presence of roundabouts and adjusts the pace accordingly. The new optional Smartlift function available for all versions of the 911, on the other hand, allows the front part of the 911 to be automatically raised at points (such as the chute of a garage) that the driver usually encounters in his / her paths. Thanks to the electro-hydraulic drive system placed on the front end, the height from the ground of the front is raised by about 40 millimeters. To memorize the stretch that requires this 'high' position, simply press the Smartlift button to make the system memorize the GPS coordinates of the specific position. When the car comes backof the same position and coming from the same direction, the front part of the 911 will lift automatically. The list of options is complemented by the extensive Porsche Tequipment range and new personalization options in the Exclusive Manufaktur program.

The 911 Targa will soon be enriched by the Gts version which will join the Targa 4 and 4S and will have a power of 480 HP. The price of the 911 Targa starts at 135 thousand euros.
