This noise, about which a user speaks on Twitter, was that of an explosion in the port of Dubai, on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, which caused a fire.
The authorities have opened an investigation to determine the causes.

A resident of the Marina district, near the port, said he "saw the windows shake": "I have lived here for 15 years and this is the first time I see and hear this".
The 14 crew members evacuated before the explosion
The fire, which broke out on a container ship as it was about to dock, has been brought under control and no casualties have been reported, said the media office of the Gulf Emirate.
The ship was carrying 130 containers "three of which contained flammable materials," Dubai police told local television stations.
But the crew of 14 were evacuated before the explosion, and the fire was brought under control after 40 minutes.
On Thursday, burning containers were still visible from the dock.
The boat is badly damaged.
“Thank goodness everything is secure.
It was a natural incident that took place in one of the containers that housed flammable substances, ”Mona al-Marri, the director of this office, told Al-Arabiya television later.
Such incidents are rare in the ultra-secure city-state of Dubai.

"The first elements (which we have) indicate that friction or heat may have caused the explosion," Dubai police chief General Abdallah Khalifa al-Marri told Al-Arabiya channel. .
According to him, there were no radioactive substances or explosives.
A helicopter was dispatched to the site, placed under very close surveillance and made inaccessible.
Jebel Ali Port is Dubai's main port, and one of the busiest in the world.
It is the largest commercial area in the Middle East.
