Great time to upgrade the outdated smartphone: Google has announced that starting September 1, it will stop supporting Android devices running the Jelly Bean operating system - a version that was first launched about 9 years ago.
According to the Google blog post, owners of devices running the 4.1 to 4.3 versions of the operating system will no longer be able to access Google Play, the company's app store, and update existing applications.

The three versions of Jelly Bean account for less than 1% of the active Android devices in the world - a decrease of 2% compared to 2018, and in total there are less than 30 million smartphones.
Also, Google is even convinced that these are devices that are not in use.
The Jelly Bean version was first launched on July 9, 2012 and brought with it a host of innovations.
Among other things, Google has focused on performance improvements over previous versions, alongside the first version of the company's personal assistant - Google Now, which was later replaced by Google Assistant.
