Glimpse: Noga Erez performs "NO news on TV" "Puppet of the Night" (Sports Channel)

Eight days after a post by "The Shadow" caused a stir on the Israeli network, Noga Erez confronts the allegations in the story on its official social pages. "I do not support BDS. I have never been. I love Israel and I do not support any kind of boycott of my country and people, nor any expression of hatred. On the contrary. I disapprove of extremism of any kind," Erez wrote.

The Israeli singer, who is at the beginning of an international tour, found herself last week in the heart of an online lynching about things she said in an interview with an international magazine last March. In the original article, Erez was quoted as flattering the BDS movement, but at the same time criticizing him.

"In my innocence, I did not understand how critical the choice of words is," Erez explains today, "how deceptive the written word can be.And they will not use a certain part of them to make the title sexier. "

In an interview published last March in Huck magazine, Noga Erez was asked about a boycott of Israel by international artists, such as Roger Waters.

"I have a complex answer on this issue. I was very happy when Radiohead came to Israel. That is, even if something terrible happens in the country, it does not mean that the people who live in it are part of it or want it. This is exactly the case in Israel. 90 percent of the 40,000 people who came I do not want the occupation to continue. I believe the BDS did an important job in raising the issue on the agenda. I wish all the effort, time and money they put into it was invested in dialogue and connection. There are so many people on both sides who want it and the governments. "You do not want it. It is very difficult to do it from within and that is what makes the conflict deeper."

Following the post raised by the shadow in her condemnation, a sharp attack began on social media against Erez, with many calling her a "traitor."

Of course, a number of media outlets did not help, which echoed the attack, instead of mediating Erez's complex message.

"I was wrong, and I have complaints for no one. No one promised me an amusement park, I understood the rules of the game the hard way. Thank you for the lesson," Erez added today.
