Complaint against the judicial police after the dismantling of an armored van robber gang

This is a deal within the affair. The lawyers of a man, suspected of having taken part in a plan to attack the transport of funds in Switzerland,

Did the police make forgery to protect their informer?

A complaint against X has just been filed in this regard before the judicial tribunal of Lyon (Rhône) by the three lawyers of Laïd B. and it clearly targets the investigators of the judicial police in charge of a robber case.

Laïd B., 40, from Lyon, has been detained at Bourg-en-Bresse (Ain) remand center since November 4, 2019. He is suspected of having taken part in a plan to attack a van armored vehicle and he was arrested with seven other suspects on October 31, 2019, in a wood in the town of Collonges (Ain), after being watched for long minutes from a drone.

That day, three powerful vehicles were seized.

Inside, the police found the paraphernalia of the perfect gangster: three Kalashnikov assault rifles, an Uzi submachine gun, a pump rifle, bulletproof vests, communication jammers, and three metal frames lined with Semtex, a powerful explosive.

A "trap" set by an indicator

Shortly after this spectacular crackdown, one of the accused had denounced a "trap" set by a police informer, who would have slipped among the members of the robber commando. "Without him, nothing would have been possible", he argued before the examining magistrate of Lyon, in charge of this case.

The lawyers of Laïd B., Me. Fabian Lahaie, Me. Yassine Maharsi and Me. Bertrand Sayn believe, in their complaint, that "it seems already established that the services of the OCLCO [Editor's note, the Central Office for the Fight against Organized Crime] failed to specify the source of their information (…), knowingly truncated certain documents to ensure their informant's anonymity.

This also allows him to escape the "role he held" and not to be worried despite "his presence throughout the surveillance and tapping" in this case.

Volatilized despite a hundred police officers

Already last March, the examining magistrate, taken aback, had asked for new research against the only member of the commando who has so far escaped all pursuit and all identification. Even his flight a few minutes before the arrest of the team of robbers questions the magistrate. The gang does not know, but he is caught in a trap on the edge of the forest. And this mysterious accomplice and perhaps even "instigator" of the attack project was able to flee on a scooter, in the face and beard of a hundred police officers ready to intervene.

"Our client is therefore perfectly justified in bringing a complaint for forgery and use of forgery in this procedure where certain people who should be identified have thus attempted to deceive the judge and the defense", assure the advice of Laïd B. The lawyers insist in particular on a disturbing element during a phase of surveillance of the presumed members of this commando: posted out of sight, Swiss police officers had taken several pictures of the suspects near a gas station, in August 2019, in Swiss. In these photos, only the face of the one who will then be identified as the now famous indicator is never visible. “Several photos are fake, they argue. Or intellectuals, because care was taken not to photograph the man suspected of being the police informant. Either material, because we intervened on the support itself in order to blur its face. "

This complaint adds to a case, still under investigation, while the troubled relations between the police officers and their informants are more and more often pinned down by the courts.
