Three people were shot and wounded outside a stadium where a baseball game was being played in Washington on Saturday, causing the game to be interrupted and the audience evacuated.
Two of the injured were in one of two cars involved in the shooting, while the third person is a woman who was on the sidewalk outside the game, the Washington Deputy Police Chief said.
On Twitter, the police specified that in total “four people were affected” by gunfire.
Two additional victims associated with this incident walked into area hospitals for treatment of gunshot wounds.
MPD is on scene and actively investigating at this time.

“At no time during the incident were the people watching the match inside the stadium in any danger.
It was not an active shooter type incident.
Everything took place outside the stadium, ”he told reporters.
He added that the injured woman "should be okay".
Spectators and players evacuated
Thousands of spectators attended a game between the Washington Nationals and the San Diego Padres, many heard the shots.
The meeting was quickly interrupted.
Two AFP journalists present at the match, for their part, heard about ten shots.
Several automatic weapon bursts are clearly identifiable in videos subsequently posted on social media.
Another video shows waves of people running away.
The spectators were asked to leave the scene, which part of them did, and the sportsmen also left the field in a hurry.
"There is currently an investigation in progress and it appears that all danger is for the moment removed", said the police.
The game is expected to resume on Sunday.
Players, including Fernando Tatis Jr. Just ran into stands and grabbed family members and brought them to clubhouse.
