Perhaps one more feminicide for the year 2021. The corpse of a woman was found Friday evening in the trunk of her car in a village of Doubs where her companion was shot dead by the gendarmes after having attacked and threatened several people, we learned on Saturday from the Besançon prosecutor's office.
The investigation will have to confirm whether the 39-year-old man killed his 54-year-old partner, as the first elements seem to suggest.
According to the regional daily L'Est Républicain, he would have indeed entrusted a firefighter "before collapsing" to have "beaten" her.
This drama, around which many gray areas remain, took place Friday evening in Guillon-les-Bains, a town of 110 inhabitants near Besançon.
The body of the fifty-year-old was found in the trunk of the car, parked for an unknown reason on the side of a small road on the heights of the village, according to the prosecution.
According to the first elements, she was the victim of a "head trauma", it was added.
"He was on foot and said he wanted to kill everyone"
The vehicle, a Twingo, had two impacts to the front windshield and a broken tail light.
The rear windshield was completely missing, according to the same source.
For a reason still unknown, his companion hit "with stones" a driver who had stopped after seeing the vehicle.
However, the victim managed to flee and sound the alarm.
Walking back down to the village where a party was taking place, the attacker, "visibly very excited", then "threatened the mayor and the people" present, who managed to scare him away, according to the same source.
"He was on foot and said he wanted to kill everyone," said Damien Cartier, the mayor of Guillon-les-Bains, in the Republican East.
Returning to the vehicle, he came face to face with the firefighters who had arrived on the scene, striking “a punch to one of them”, before fleeing into the forest where “total night” reigned.
Also alerted, the gendarmes found him.
"Threatening", he advanced towards the soldiers who then used a taser, before shooting him in the chest, according to the prosecution, which specifies that the individual died "two hours later".
The General Inspectorate of the National Gendarmerie (IGGN) was seized, it was specified.
The autopsy of the bodies will take place at the beginning of the week.
The prosecution says it has not received any report for domestic violence concerning this couple, domiciled in the vicinity.
The suspect only had two records on his record, for theft and driving under the influence of alcohol.
This week has already been marked by the feminicide of Doriane R. in the Var, and by the revelations concerning the filing of a complaint of Chahinez, killed by her husband in May.
The police officer who took her complaint in March after another assault on the part of her husband had been convicted of domestic violence.
The feminist association Nous All, which lists the number of feminicides in France, apostrophed Emmanuel Macron on Twitter this week: "it would be good to do something, really" can we read.
