After about a decade, the technology giant has officially parted ways with its favorite premium series - Galaxy Note, and will not present the next generation at the Galaxy Unpacked event that will take place on August 11 - according to a post on the company's official blog.
"Instead of unveiling a new Galaxy Note, we will bring some of the favorite features of the Note devices to other devices," Samsung wrote.
The company also stated that the smartphones in the Galaxy Z series will come with support for the stylus pen - S Pen.
It is estimated that the company no longer sees any justification for continuing to develop the Note series, as a large part of the devices on the market come with a screen of the same size - one of the salient features that differentiated the brands.

As mentioned, the highlight of the upcoming event will be two new smartphones - the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3, which will take the place of the Note series.
The Z Fold 3 is expected to come with a 6.23-inch external screen and a 7.6-inch internal screen.
Alongside this, it may combine Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 processor and a 4-camera photo array.
The Z Flip 3 will largely retain the design line of the previous generation, and will come with a 6.7-inch internal screen and a 1.8-inch external screen.
Like its big brother, this model will also come with a Snapdragon 888 chip, alongside two photo sensors on the back.
