Microsoft is not giving up and is developing the next generation of the Surface Duo, its foldable smartphone.

Images leaked to the web and posted on Windows Central apparently reveal a prototype of the new device.

As you can see in the photos and reportedly, the device will maintain the familiar design - and contrary to the folding screens trend - will come with two 5.6-inch screens that rotate on a 360-degree axis and are capable of turning into an 8.1-inch tablet.

However, the most notable innovation is the photo array that will come with three sensors.

Alongside this, Windows Central reports that Microsoft plans to announce the device this coming October, and it is expected to incorporate a Snapdragon 888 processor and 5G network support.

It also appears that the fingerprint scanner has been embedded in the lock button.

Remember, the first generation of the Surface Duo came with the Android operating system In order to be similar to Windows 10X, and adapted to work on two screens.

Apparently, Microsoft may continue to use the same interface.
