For the third weekend in a row, demonstrations took place across France this Saturday against the health pass.

At the end of the day, the services of the Ministry of the Interior identified 204,090 demonstrators, including around 14,250 in Paris.

In all, more than 180 actions took place throughout the territory.

The gatherings, rather calm on the whole, were all the same punctuated by some tense face-to-face meetings with the police.

Another notable fact, several journalists - including AFP - were attacked.

But they are not the only ones to have been attacked because of their profession.

In Montpellier (Hérault), demonstrators attacked a pharmacist who was screening for Covid-19 in a tent provided for this purpose.

According to videos taken by Midi Libre, a protester wrote, in particular, on the installation, "Mafia State".

While others have insulted the health professional as "collaborator", "murderer" or "junk", doubling their slogans with boos.

The tent ended up being almost completely ripped off by the anti-pass rally attendees and pharmacists had to put it away.

"We will not give up anything"

Several personalities reacted to this aggression.

On Twitter, government spokesperson Gabriel Attal denounced methods of “intimidation” and “violence” and supported “all pharmacists, all caregivers involved”.

"We will not give up anything," he concluded.

Their project?

Chaos.

Their target?

Those who protect us.

Their method?

Bullying, violence.

To them we will not give in.

A huge thank you to all pharmacists, to all caregivers mobilized in the heart of summer to protect us.

The French support you.

The Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, also had a word of support on the same social network for the pharmacist taken to task.

“This pharmacist, every morning for a year and a half, gets up despite fatigue to protect and care for your parents, your loved ones, your neighbors.

And even you, who insult him all ashamed drunk, if it were necessary one day ”, he commented.

Asked about Europe 1, Yorick Berger, pharmacist and general secretary of the pharmacists' union in Paris, also expressed his anger.

“Being assaulted is just unacceptable,” he began, recalling that pharmacists have been “on the bridge since the start of the pandemic.

We were there during confinement, we issued masks for free to the population when there was a shortage… We are doing our duty to protect the population and avoid the jamming of the system, ”argued the pharmacist.

"When we come to threaten people who do their work for the collective well-being, there is a big concern," he concluded, hoping that the Ministry of the Interior would take up this issue.
