Three people died and a fourth was seriously injured this Thursday in Savoy in the crash of a tourist plane from Loire-Atlantique, according to the prefecture.
The accident occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. in the town of Saint-Colomban-des-Villards.
This place is near the departmental road that leads to the Glandon pass, according to firefighters interviewed by AFP who were alerted by witnesses.
Circumstances so far unknown
The fourth occupant of the plane, ejected at the time of the crash of the device which came from a Loire-Atlantique flying club, was evacuated by the helicopter of the gendarmerie of Modane to the CHU of Lyon.
"The circumstances of the accident are unknown at this time and will be determined as part of the judicial investigation," the prefecture said in a statement.
