After introducing more or less all models in 2020, manufacturers are content with no more than a handful of improvements in their enduro tools.

And when you combine the development of the recreational field, the flourishing of the enduro industry, the fact that most reasonable people are stuck in Israel for a community of riders looking to innovate every year on the last thing their home brands have to offer - it's not hard to see why they should not go out of their way to show them again.

BETA News on RR and the crosstrainer

Metro Motor, the importer of BETA motorcycles to Israel, presented its model line for 2022. On offer are the families of the RR and crosstrainer models. In the RR family: four two-stroke models and three four-stroke models.

The main innovation is in the two-stroke family and specifically in the 300 version that gets a cylinder with a larger bore at the expense of the piston stroke and inside a new piston of course, as well as a new crankshaft to support its different course. Also on the list, a new exhaust valve and engine head, a smaller muffler in the exhaust, a new clutch and more. This clutch also gets the 250 version The

four-stroke models also get the new clutch, a new engine management computer unit and ignition charts, a new rear shock absorber that adds quick-slow contraction damping direction and new transmission ratios.

Also in the crosstrainer models the change is concentrated in the brand new 300 engine with the same line of changes as that of the RR 300 engine while the 250 version remains unchanged in the engine.

In both versions, a new clutch is installed with the option of replacing the spring with one with a different level of rigidity and a new electrical system.

Prices: The two-stroke models (125, 200, 250 and 300) range from NIS 51,000 to NIS 65,000.

Prices for the four-stroke models (350, 390, 480) range from NIS 68,000 to NIS 70,000.

The 250 and 300 crosstrainers will cost NIS 52,000 and NIS 54,000, respectively.

Husqvarna: Total upgrade

Husqvarna's collection list for 2022 includes seven models. The two-stroke TE family includes the 150, 250 and 300 volumes and the four-stroke family, the FE in volumes of 250, 350, 450 and 501.

After a new generation was introduced in 2020 and 2021, the manufacturer was mainly satisfied with graphics, for 2022 several major changes are recorded in the aspect of the assemblies. Magura's brakes and clutch give way to those of BRAKTEC's discs are GSK's. The WP shock absorbers in all models have been readjusted with reduced rigidity. In front they use XPLOR and in the back XACT. The tires from the current model year are made by Michelin.

Even in the technical aspect and without difference from the previous years, you can find electric propulsion, the latest generation of the electronic fuel injection system. The 2-stroke models have two ignition maps to choose from and the 4-stroke, in addition to the ignition maps, also has traction control.

All seven models come with an equipment package as standard and this includes an FMF heater, arm protectors, a link protector for the arm and more.

Prices range from NIS 63,000 for the TE150i to NIS 77,000 for the two-stroke TE300i and from NIS 77,000 for the FE250 to NIS 84,000 for the FE501 in the four-stroke segment.

KTM: New colors and limited editions

Just like the sister company (or subsidiary, depending on who asks) Husqvarna, also in KTM a new model was introduced in 2020, in 2021 there was a marginal update and for 2022 the process is more a further development and polishing of the tools and not a fundamental revolution.

As a leader in this industry, KTM's model offering is the most extensive in the enduro segment for its derivatives.

This is a range that encompasses 15 models and 7 engines.

The division between the two- and four-stroke families is three two-stroke engines with volumes of 150, 250 and 300 cc injected with TPI technology. The four four-stroke models are with volumes of 250, 350, 450 and 500 cc.

With the exception of the 150 cc for all motorcycles, the "Six Days" versions and the two-stroke senior model, the 300 EXC TPI, will once again boast a limited edition of the "Ertsberg Rodeo" version.

So the main thing here is the new color scheme that the tools get, including a combination of KTM's bluish-purple retro shades from years past and the world map logo in the Six Days versions.

But not only the WP shock absorbers have been hardened and according to the manufacturer, they improve the feeling and feedback from the road to the rider.

Another change is the move to MAXXIS MaxxEnduro tires, which are supposed to show improved puncture resistance without losing riding comfort and sole flexibility.

Another change was made to the 250 TPI (two-stroke) model, which changed the transmission ratio from 14:50 to 13:52 in order to improve the power transmission to the ground and in other words - it is easier to swing the wheel to Willy to overcome obstacles.

As in other industries and with other importers, whether in the field of four- and two-wheelers, the new models at KTM also suffer from price increases.

Although in light of the production difficulties, global demand, the crazy jump in shipping costs and taxation on all these things - the average lateral increase of 1,000 shekels compared to tools from the previous model year is definitely very moderate.

The prices of the two-stroke tools range from NIS 61,000 to NIS 75,000, in the four-stroke segment the range is NIS 75,000 to NIS 82,000 for the 500 EXC-F.

The Six Days versions range from NIS 71,000 for the two-stroke 250 EXC TPI to NIS 87,000 for the 500 EXC-F.

And if you want to get your hands on the Herzberg Rodeo edition of the 300 EXC TPI, you will part with NIS 85,000.
