The custody of Cassandre Fristot could go to its maximum time.
The 33-year-old protester, arrested and sent to the premises of the Departmental Directorate of Public Safety Monday noon in Metz, has just seen her prolonged custody of 24 hours.
This German teacher, member of the nationalist Parti de la France, waved Saturday during the anti-health pass demonstration in Metz (Moselle) a sign displaying the names of Jewish people or of Jewish origin, playing on the sobriety of the message that accompanied these names - the "Who?"
Having appeared in recent protests - to cover up a blatant hatred.
The discarded sign?
According to the Moselle prefecture, the home of Cassandre Fristot was searched Monday morning.
"The police are looking to see if there is anything in their home to explain or reinforce the presumption of anti-Semitism," she explained at the time.
According to BFMTV, Cassandre Fristot would have told investigators to have got rid of the sign.
Targeted since Sunday by an investigation for "public provocation to hatred" opened by the Metz prosecutor's office, Cassandre Fristot can remain in police custody until Wednesday noon.
Professionally, the teacher is suspended "pending disciplinary action", announced the Minister of National Education Jean-Michel Blanquer.
She is still a member of the municipal council of Hombourg-Haut, in Moselle, where she suffered a failure in the last municipal elections.
