What shocked you about Ben and Manor?

You know, after all, that any match in my signature will crash

Married to Rosenthal (Walla!)

In the science and history channels that are at the edge of the atmosphere of orientation on the TV remote, the series "Aviation in Investigation" is broadcast, in which each episode analyzes a plane crash or a horrific aerial accident in detail, reconstructing it from beginning to end and trying to recalculate the factors that led to the disaster.

On a much less remote channel it airs twice a week on Prime Time a show that does pretty much the same thing, only for couples. We sit down and sit in front of the screen of a wedding at first sight to watch a show that starts from the end, from some unequivocal, reasoned and self-confident connection of a couple by a team of experts, and then accompanies them from there to the inevitable crash.

On the face of it, Khatunami sells us a very optimistic idea: good, handsome, cute, funny, sensitive people who really-everything-is-just-fine-with-them-and-what-a-pity-they-failed-in-matters-of-the-heart-lack- Luck-really-and-not-poor-behavior-patterns-or-borderline-personality-at-all, finally get their real chance to succeed in a relationship.

As if all that has separated them from true love so far is the lack of cameras and the fact that they did not pass the couple's screening day of Adam Milo.

But psychologists disclaim responsibility

Crash.

In practice, the program eventually comes to - and sorry, but what to do there is no pleasant way to say it - people who have failed to find or maintain healthy and surviving marital relationships, until the age is old enough for it to begin to be personal. And what I have not been able to do in the not-so-ideal, but at least not extreme and psychic, conditions of reality - say to themselves a single bachelor and bachelorette, I may be able to do with a complete stranger, whom I will not choose for myself. And after an initial acquaintance with the canopy, we will immediately move into a shared residence, with the whole business constantly accompanied by photography crews who will document any embarrassment, any intentional or accidental insult, any disappointment.

Khatunami is a program that starts at the highest point and from there it moves and documents only in one direction - down.

There are those who crash quickly at a sharp angle and shatter to the ground like a passenger plane that left Indonesia and was caught in a lightning storm and there are those who will lose altitude slowly, almost without feeling.

The week or two that pass between the moment the program participants receive their own wedding invitation, which for them is like the green passport that redeems them from the horror of the corona of the heart and says: According to our calculations you should be able to be in a relationship with the person we trained.

You have a regulation.

They will not find your rotting body in the bath after a stench rises in the building where you live alone - and until the meeting with the intended spouse at the wedding, it is best that they have it here.

Yes, we'll go with a complete stranger.

This short period of time where they already have a match, but it is still devoid of face and identity - it has no flaws, it has no flaws, it has no tattoos or the wrong temperament, it is this honeymoon.

At this point for them they are carried to the sum of their hopes and the sky is the limit.

But when this person starts walking towards them at the wedding or they are towards him - that's where it ends.

From that moment on they only see the ground approaching them with increasing speed.

And it does not matter if they do it in skydiving without a parachute like Manor and Ben, in a nauseating soaring from side to side like Karin and Itamar, in a chill like Mano and Nitzan, in an anxiety attack and hyper-ventilation like Danny and Shani or in awkward silence like Maayan and Lord.

In the specific aviation accident we witnessed this week, at least one of the parties was clear who was to blame.

Ben slapped Danny and Yael in the face that he is very angry at them and sees them as the sole culprits for this failure, because they matched him with the wrong woman.

This is another weakness of the format, that it provides its participants with a very convenient (too convenient) address for the sake of the guilt bag, instead of checking a little better their own black box.

blame?

Yael the Psychologist (Photo: Screenshot, Keshet 12)

God knows that many and many of us would have been happy to blame the Danish and Yael of their fate for the choices we made and the matings we mated.

Unfortunately, this option does not stand up to us and we should and must live with these choices and their consequences.

Happily, at least twice a week we can escape all of this and watch along with our choices and their consequences in thunderous silence in other people soaring high and then crashing.

And that's what gives us a signature - not the hope that something good might happen, but the probable probability that it probably won't.

PS Do not tell me Hagar and Nir.

Even a broken clock shows a correct time twice a day.

And besides, we'll live and see.
