In recent years, the charging capabilities of smartphones are improving at a rapid pace, and the various manufacturers are investing a lot of effort so that we wait less than an hour for a full charge.

The first to bring the technology to market is Shiomi, which yesterday (Sunday) announced a wireless charger, named MDY-13-E, which supports charging with a power of 100 watts.

The new charger supports the common Qi standard and is capable of charging a smartphone with a battery with a capacity of 4,500 mAh from 0% to 100% in just 20 minutes.

Also, according to the company, it incorporates a cooling system to maintain a low temperature in case of overheating.

However, the company does not manufacture a device that supports a charging power higher than 67 watts, which means that when it does, it may charge even faster.

For example, the Mi MIX 4, the company's first smartphone to come with a hidden camera under the screen, supports charging at 50 watts, while Shiomi's flagship smartphone - the Mi 11 Pro, is able to charge the battery wirelessly at a power of 67 Wat.

The new cargo will hit stores in China on August 16 at a price of 599 yuan (about $ 92), and it is not yet known if it will also be marketed in an international version.
