Bob Dylan is accused of sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl in 1965
A woman claims Dylan sexually abused her in his New York apartment for six weeks in 1965, "leaving her mentally scarred and psychologically damaged to this day."
Dylan, then in his mid-20s, "took advantage of his position as a musician to supply JC with alcohol and drugs and sexually abuse her several times."

An anonymous woman sued singer-songwriter Bob Dylan for allegedly sexually abusing her after giving her drugs and alcohol in 1965, when she was 12. A spokesman for Dylan, now 80, said the allegations were false.
"The 56-year-old claim is untrue and will be vigorously defended," the spokesman said.
In a civil lawsuit filed late Friday in New York Supreme Court, the woman, identified only by the acronym JC, said Dylan sexually abused her in his New York apartment for six weeks, "leaving her mentally scarred and psychologically damaged to this day."
Dylan, who was then in his mid-twenties, "took advantage of his status as a musician to supply JC with alcohol and drugs and sexually abuse her several times," the lawsuit said.

The plaintiff is seeking compensation in the amount not specified.
Her lawsuit was filed just before the New York State deadline, approved by law in 2019, which allows for lawsuits related to allegations of child sexual abuse that were previously too old under the statute of limitations.
Dylan left the green scene of Greenwich Village in the early 1960s and became one of the most respected and influential artists of the rock age, with hits including "Blowin 'in the Wind" and "Like a Rolling Stone."
It has sold more than 125 million albums worldwide and won the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature.
