Levan, 30, was arrested in flagrante delicto in early August in Nogent-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne), by investigators from the Paris banditry repression squad.
The investigation began on July 12 on Boulevard Magenta when officials from the group for the fight against itinerant delinquency spotted this man who entered several jewelry stores and shops for the purchase of precious stones.
"He was showing images on a telephone to the managers of these stores, which made people think he had merchandise to sell," explains a source close to the case.
