A man suspected of having struck a player from Olympique de Marseille during the invasion of the field during the Nice-Marseille match was taken into custody on Monday by the Nice police, according to a source close to the investigation.
Information confirmed to the Parisian by the Nice prosecutor's office.
The 28-year-old is already known to the police.
It would be the man dressed in a black T-shirt who attacked OM striker Dimitri Payet.

Sunday evening, the Ligue 1 match between OGC Nice and Olympique de Marseille was interrupted for 1h30 after a general fight between the players of the two teams, the Nice supporters and the security personnel.
The Marseillais explained fear for their integrity and refused to resume the match.
Sunday evening, three minors had already been arrested around 10:30 p.m. during the serious overflows which led to the interruption of the match, according to information from RMC Sport confirmed to the Parisian.
However, the applicants were handed over to their parents, and none had been taken into custody.
In addition, the Professional Football League announced that the two clubs concerned would be summoned by the Disciplinary Commission of the LFP.
