After quite a bit of waiting time, YouTube allows iPhone users to watch YouTube videos in a floating window outside the app.
This is a feature called "Picture in Picture" that since 2018 has been available for Android users only.
Initially, this is an experiment that is only open to premium subscribers and is expected to last until October 31st.
Apparently, after this date, the feature will reach all users - including subscribers who do not pay.
To join the experiment
and then click on the "Want to try?" Button.
However, once you have joined the experiment you will be required to run the feature manually in the app.
How do you do that?
