A world championship in the name of safety and environmental sustainability.

Pending certain rules that make it a safer vehicle, in 2022 the first global competition for scooters will start in all the cities of the world, as is already the case for Formula 1 and MotoGP.

It will race in different cities around the world, along the lines of Formula E, with vehicles capable of reaching up to 100 km per hour, driven by drivers wearing special protective helmets.

The first World Championship for scooters will be called eSkootr (eSC) with means developed with F1 supplies and methodology for this type of competition. Among the teams on the track there will also be that of Helbiz, world leader in micro-mobility, listed on Nasdaq: it will do so with a new special model and with a team of three riders who will compete with the S1-X scooter in cities around the world since 2022. The pilots will drive the Helbiz vehicle designed and developed by Ycom and Williams Advanced Engineering, on specially designed urban circuits, in agreement with local administrations. The technological developments and innovation of this model - assures Helbiz - will be brought to the models for city use in order to improve all aspects of the scooters.

In fact, for both eSC and Helbiz, safety and sustainability are the pillars of the business. "We are delighted to welcome Helbiz to eSC - said Khalil Beschir, CEO of eSkootr Championship -. Along with the wider ambitions around the championship, I have no doubt that the Helbiz team will be competitive. Helbiz shares our passion for developing micro-mobility and providing safer and more sustainable urban transport options. This partnership will allow us to work together and share knowledge to provide mobility solutions to a society seeking a smarter and cleaner tomorrow. "
