Tamir Greenberg won the "Next Star" final in 2021. Greenberg, 26, from Tel Aviv, sang in the final the original song Tell me where the light goes, which he wrote and composed.

Second place went to 21-year-old Valerie Hamati from Holon, who sang "You Caught Me a Place" by her sons Barbie;

Matan Levy, 21, from Rehovot, who sang "Until When," came in third, and Shai Hambar, 23, from Tel Aviv, who sang Yehuda Poliker's "Things I Wanted to Say," came in fourth.

The final, which opened at 21:00 and was broadcast on Arc 12, took place at Zappa Live Park Rishon Lezion with about 3,000 people in the audience.

New judge Ninet Tayeb was absent from the broadcast because of the expected birth.

After seven years in which he was elected in the Israeli representative program for the Eurovision Song Contest, this was the first year in which no such representative was elected and instead he won a prize of one million shekels.

The final program featured former program participants, Raviv Kinner and Ella-Li Lahav, who sang their hits.

Before the season aired, referee Ninet Tayeb was interviewed by Walla!

culture.

"I came to do this season from a completely different place," she said.

"That I knew it was going to be something very big it was in the table of the 'do not go for it'. Every year I am approached by many programs and I always refuse. It will sound slippery or strange to you, but for me to return to the 'next star' is to cure the This place is with me. Going back to the battlefield and healing the trauma. Just like that.

"Honestly I have not talked about it so much since.

It was only between myself and myself to solve this place.

But yes, the things I went through following ‘A Star Is Born’, a 19-year-old girl who succeeds like that in an instant.

It was also a success that could not be explained on any scale.

It was also the first season so no one knew the size of it, the madness. "
