The investigation into the rape accusations targeting Benjamin Mendy in England is rebounding.
On Monday, Cheshire Police announced the indictment of another man with four rapes committed against three people between April and August.
Presented to a judge on Monday, this 40-year-old suspect, named Louis Saha Matturie, was imprisoned and is due to appear again on Friday in a court in Chester, the same day as Benjamin Mendy.
Its possible links with the latter have not been specified.

The Mancunian left side was remanded in late August. His club, where he has been playing since 2017, had suspended him a few minutes before the police announced his referral to justice. Benjamin Mendy is charged with three rapes in October 2020 and one rape in August 2021, at his home in Prestbury, Cheshire. He is also accused of sexual assault on a woman, also at his home, at the beginning of last January. The alleged assaults concern three women, including a minor.
Revealed in Marseille and spent a season by Monaco, Benjamin Mendy had been recruited by Manchester City for 52 million pounds (about 60 million euros).
This transfer made him the most expensive defender in history at the time.
But his career has since been punctuated by injuries, like his cruciate ligament rupture in 2017, forcing Mendy to spend more time treating his knees and muscle ailments than kicking a ball.
The French international, world champion in 2018, also delighted the tabloids in the fall of 2020 when his Lamborghini was seized, worth more than 500,000 euros, which he was driving without a license or insurance.
He had pleaded guilty and was fined just over 1,000 euros.
