Everyone can go into space, everyone can become 'astronauts by chance'. This is what the four pioneers of the Inspiration4 mission will try to demonstrate, the first with a crew entirely made up of private citizens and non-professional astronauts.
Excited and excited, they are finalizing preparations to board SpaceX's Crew Dragon shuttle, which will take them on an adventurous three-day trip around the Earth orbiting at a height of 575 kilometers, well beyond the International Space Station. Among them also two women ready to make history, respectively as the first wearer of prostheses in space and the first black woman in the role of pilot.
SpaceX owner Elon Musk himself celebrates the feat of the four in his own way using the photo of the crew as a picture on his Twitter profile. The launch with the Falcon 9 rocket will take place from the historic platform 39A of the Kennedy Space Center in Florida: the five-hour launch window will open at 20:02 local time, when in Italy it will be 2:02 on Thursday 16 September. The latest weather forecasts indicate favorable conditions at 80%, but if something should go wrong, a second chance to launch is still foreseen after 24 hours.
