Hectic week in the smartphone market.

If this Tuesday Apple unveiled the expected iPhone 13, this Wednesday it was Xiaomi's turn.

The technology giant has presented its proposal to conquer the high-end: the Xiaomi 11T Pro. The terminal, whose price starts at 649 euros, stands out for an ultra-fast charge capable of filling the mobile battery in just 17 minutes.

Xiaomi is one of the largest mobile phone manufacturers in the world.

In the second quarter of 2021 it was the second company that sold the most devices on the planet, only behind Samsung, according to the analysis firm Counterpoint Research.

His results were especially good in June.

That month the Chinese giant became the manufacturer that sold the most terminals globally for the first time.

The Xiaomi 11T Pro stands out for an ultra-fast charge called 120W Xiaomi Hyper Charge.

In theory it is possible to charge the phone, which has a 5,000 mAh battery, in just 17 minutes.

"There is nothing like this on the market today," said Abi Go, Xiaomi Product Marketing Director.

The charger will be included in the box, unlike what happens with the latest terminals presented by Samsung or Apple.

The device, available in three colors - gray, white and blue - is slightly thinner and lighter than its predecessor. Its 6.67-inch screen has a refresh rate that reaches 120 Hz. This rate refers to the number of times the screen is updated per second. The higher it is, the smoother the user experience. Although more battery is also used.

Unlike the Xiaomi 11, which has a square rear camera module, the 11T Pro has a rectangular stepped module with three sensors: a 108-megapixel main, an eight-megapixel wide-angle, and a five-megapixel telemacro. If there is one aspect in which mobile manufacturers take care of every last detail, it is video recording. While the iPhone 13 includes a mode that performs automatic focus changes, the Xiaomi 11T Pro incorporates various cinematographic effects and uses artificial intelligence to bring “the magic of cinema” within the reach of users.

Among the effects of the new Xiaomi terminal, one called

magic zoom stands out

, which allows a person to remain in the plane while the environment approaches. This effect, according to Abi Go, is "what Hollywood directors use to create suspense." The user can also make videos with the telemacro sensor and record in 8K. The terminal also has a function called

audio zoom

, which uses three microphones to capture the sound of a certain element.

The Xiaomi 11T Pro is compatible with 5G networks and incorporates the Qualcomm processor for the high-end Snapdragon 888. It also has 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage.

The mobile will be available in three versions: one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for 649 euros, another with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for 699 euros and, finally, one with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for 749 euros.

The little brother of the Xiaomi 11T Pro

In addition to the Xiaomi 11T Pro, the Chinese giant has also presented the Xiaomi 11T.

This last terminal is very similar to its older brother: it shares with him, for example, the design, the battery capacity and the rear cameras.

But the Xiaomi 11T differs in the processor (MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Ultra) and in fast charging.

In this case, it is 67 W and the mobile charges somewhat more slowly.

Even so, the Chinese giant promises to fully fill the battery in 36 minutes.

The price of this device starts at 499 euros (in its version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage).

The model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs 549 euros.
