On the roads of the Côte d'Azur, around Cannes and on the Estérel hills, we tested all the new features of the 308, a Peugeot model that has sold some seven million units since its debut.
All the configurations are combined with the individual engines in the range, starting with the thrifty 1.5 Diesel 16v BlueHDi 130, equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox (which we also tested on the large station wagon version), or the EAT8 automatic.
The petrol versions can count on the efficiency of the award-winning 1.2 three-cylinder Turbo PureTech, with 110 HP or 130 HP, also with an EAT8 automatic transmission. With the plug-in hybrid propulsion, on the other hand, the power levels are 225 HP or 180 HP and in both cases a 1.6 petrol engine is combined with an electric motor, integrated in that e-EAT8 transmission which proved to be fast and precise. on the French hills, where we also verified the effectiveness of the regenerative braking, in the driving function B.
