At least eight people were killed on Monday in Perm, central Russia, after a gunman broke into state university and shot at students, investigators told the Russian agency TASS.
“At around 11 am (6 am in France), an unknown man entered the Perm University campus with a non-lethal weapon and opened fire,” the university said in a statement.
The man could have used an air gun, according to the press service of the establishment.
He was stopped.
The university immediately encouraged its students to go and lock themselves in classrooms.
On social networks, videos are circulating where we can see young people fleeing through the windows of the building.
