It looks like Mordor from Lord of the Rings.
But it is La Palma.
The volcanic eruption on the Canary Island continues.
The images from the night are terrifying, but also impressive.
On Sunday the Cumbre Vieja broke out for the first time in 50 years.
190 houses have since been destroyed by the lava rolling, roads have been blocked, vineyards, banana groves and many other plant crops have been damaged.
The groundwater was contaminated and 6,000 people had to be evacuated.
But there are other dangers: The lava flow, which is more than 1000 degrees Celcius, is on its way to the more densely populated coast.
If it hits the Atlantic, there is a risk of explosions and the release of toxic gas.
In the 1971 outbreak, a person died after inhaling these gases.
So La Palma has not survived the natural disaster for a long time.
