A week after nine fatal drownings in 24 hours in the Mediterranean, the Hérault prefecture warned that swimming will be "
very dangerous
" on Saturday, a strong swell being expected on the coast, with strong currents and waves of up to two meters .

" the Hérault prefecture said on Twitter.
Nine people deceased
On September 16, nine people had lost their lives, drowned in a raging Mediterranean when severe bad weather had just hit the south of France and in particular the Gard.
Five people had drowned along the coast of the Hérault, two in the Bouches-du-Rhône and two in the Aude.
Météo-France announced a change of weather in the region for Saturday, with a stormy degradation arriving from the south.
