The concept of the future in all its forms, from technology to the circular economy, from human health to that of the planet, will be at the center of the tenth edition of MeetMeTonight, the event that celebrates the European Researchers' Night, organized by the University Milano-Bicocca, Politecnico di Milano, University of Milan and the Municipality of Milan with the participation of Bocconi University and the University.

The event will take place from 10 to 20 entirely online and will be divided into a series of workshops for schools and talks for audiences of all ages and from all over Italy, with numerous opportunities for interaction in real time.

This year's theme was chosen taking a cue from the words of the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, who at the European Parliament stressed the need to look towards a sustainable and green future in which the new generations can thrive. To better outline this macro-theme, all the initiatives proposed by MeetMeTonight are grouped into six major thematic areas: Cities and mobility, Circular economy, Planet Earth, Health and wellbeing, Education and Behavioral change and Technologies for future.

It starts in the morning from 10 to 13 with three workshops dedicated to schools that will range from the themes of sexuality and affectivity in the complex and delicate years of adolescence, to cybersecurity competitions up to cultural appropriation in the theater with a particular focus on Canada. The interactive workshops presented by the researchers will involve the students firsthand, who will be able to understand in a fun and relaxed way what happens in the laboratories and what impact research has on our daily life.

In the afternoon from 2 pm to 8 pm the young university researchers will alternate moderated by the scientific journalist Luigi Bignami: 13 talks, 20 minutes each, in which an attempt was made to privilege the voice of the winners of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie scholarships, promised of the future that will spread the word showing the great richness and heterogeneity of the research that takes place in the Milanese universities.
