In a video showing the volcanic eruption on the Canary Island of La Palma, a number of discerning (and bored) viewers captured an object moving rapidly around the boiling lava - and instead of concluding that it was a bird or a drone, they concluded they were aliens.

A video released on Reddit on October 3 shows the Spanish volcano "Combra Vieja" in the midst of the eruption, when suddenly a small white object can be picked up out of the corner of the eye that moves to the right side of the screen and from there back to the left side.

The video was shot at the end of last month and gained thousands of views on Reddit. While there were quite a few viewers who estimated it to be a bird or a drone, those who were convinced it was a supernatural phenomenon also took care to justify their causes. One wrote in response: "Drone? I don't think so. It looks like aliens who really need this epic volcanic eruption." A second observer added: "Aliens are learning about volcanoes. Wise on their part."

Those who believe that it is an UFO claim that a bird would not continue to fly over the danger as the mysterious object continued to do and that there is no chance that it is a drone or skimmer because the heat would melt it and that the volcano's "huge magnetic field" would interfere with signals coming from its remote control . Another observer reinforced: "Can they somehow absorb the energy from this eruption with"Flight near the mountain? I would not have denied it. "
