A 16-year-old teenager was attacked "with knives" Monday afternoon by "several people" in front of his high school in Bordeaux, but his life is not in danger, police said on Wednesday.
The facts took place in front of the François-Mauriac high school, where the victim is educated, in the Bastide district on the right bank of the Garonne.
The victim had an altercation with several people before being assaulted with a stabbing weapon and then taken to hospital, but his life-threatening prognosis is not engaged, police added, confirming information from the Sud-Ouest newspaper. The teenager was however seriously injured in an arm, the high school student was rescued by the firefighters and evacuated to the CHU. A complaint was lodged with the Legal Support Group (GAJ) of the Cenon police station. The investigations were entrusted to the Unit for Attacks on Persons (UAP) of the Departmental Security. According to the regional daily, one of the attackers even filmed the scene with his cell phone.
The victim was to be examined again this Wednesday morning, but already, the initial medical certificate shows 21 days of total incapacity for work (ITT).
For the moment, we do not know the motive for the aggression.
An investigation was opened by the departmental security.
