RKI

registers 11,903 new corona

infections

- incidence at 65.4

10:07 a.m.:

With the seven-day incidence in Germany, there is little dynamism. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Wednesday morning at 65.4. For comparison: the previous day the value was 65.8, a week ago it was 62.3 (previous month: 81.9). The health authorities in Germany reported 11,903 new infections to the RKI within one day. This is evident from the numbers that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 04.23 a.m. A week ago the value was 11,547 infections.

According to the new information, 92 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours.

A week ago there were 76 deaths.

The RKI has counted 4,330,258 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.

The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days - the most important parameter for a possible tightening of the corona restrictions - was given by the RKI on Tuesday as 1.70 (Monday: 1.58).

A nationwide threshold value from when the situation can be viewed critically is not provided for the incidence of hospitalization, among other things because of large regional differences.

The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.

Saarland extends new corona regulation with more freedom

9:57 a.m.:

The Corona regulation, which has been in force in Saarland for almost two weeks, with extensive relaxations for vaccinated, convalescent and tested people (3G) is being extended. The Ministry of Health in Saarbrücken announced that it will come into force on October 15th with minor editorial changes and will be valid until October 28th. For example, simplifications in the tests for schoolchildren have been added.

So far, they have been exempted from all obligations to provide evidence, for example in the case of access controls, provided they regularly take part in school tests. A corresponding certificate from the school was previously valid for one week. With the changes, the validity of the proof of participation has now been extended to December 22nd. In addition, it was stated that in future a 3G certificate twice a week will be sufficient for attending a university cafeteria.

Since October 1st, practically all restrictions for vaccinated, recovered and tested people have ceased to exist in Saarland.

Full cinemas, dancing in clubs and going to restaurants without a mask and without a gap: all of this has been possible again since then.

Even in the workplace in closed rooms there is no longer a mask requirement if everyone presents a 3G certificate.

In addition, private contact restrictions have been lifted, and there are no square meter requirements for permitted visitors and customers.

And: the number of guests is no longer limited.
