Three people were killed and seven injured this Saturday in an earthquake in Indonesia.
It happened on the tourist island of Bali, the disaster management agency said.
The 4.8 magnitude earthquake struck at a relatively shallow depth of 10 km northeast of the town of Banjar Wanasari.
Shallow earthquakes generally cause more damage than those that occur far from the surface.
Two people died when the earthquake caused a landslide that buried their home in the Bangli area.
Another person was killed in the port city of Karangasem, authorities said.
The death toll should not increase, they said.
“The earthquake was felt strongly for five seconds,” disaster management agency spokesman Abdul Muhari said.
"People were in panic and fled from their homes when the earth started to shake."
This map from the USGS, the United States Institute for Geological Studies, shows the location of the earthquake.

Indonesia regularly faces earthquakes or volcanic eruptions due to its location on the Pacific "Ring of Fire", where tectonic plates collide.
In January, around 100 people were killed by a magnitude 6.2 earthquake on Celebes Island, which destroyed many buildings in the coastal town of Mamuju.
The archipelago remains marked by the earthquake of December 26, 2004 with a magnitude of 9.1 off the coast of Sumatra, which caused a major tsunami and killed 220,000 people across the region, including about 170,000 for Indonesia alone.
