Too many American movies and series, the arrival of a noisy motorcycle gang to the place says one thing - a fight is about to break out soon.

When the Storm Raiders Club arrived at the distribution center of the "Graceful Naomi" organization, something else happened, completely different.

So the association itself may not be much not known, after 35 years Rabbi Yosef Cohen's life's work is one of the largest aid projects in Israel ("Mother promised chicken for Shabbat" and more), but not only chicken, but also meals for vegan needy people within 130,000 supported by her , Including 5,000 Holocaust survivors and lone soldiers.

And one of these 4 logistics centers of the association arrived shortly before Rosh Hashanah, members of the Israeli "Storm Raiders" club in order to volunteer to pack the food packages that will be distributed to the association's supporters.

"I'm always excited to meet volunteers, excited to tears," says Rabbi Cohen, "it excites me that people come to try to fight poverty. It's sad to say but poverty connects population ends. Where else would I get to meet this bunch of nice riders."

"Rider Bunch" or in their official name STORM RIDERS MRC, are definitely a cheerful bunch of nice, cheerful and very diverse bunch, because unlike quite a few other clubs that revolve around a particular model or manufacturer - here the connection comes from somewhere else. "We are made up of all types of motorcycles," explains Shirel Gabriel, the spokeswoman and head of the club's community relations, "but we are all friends with a common hobby and goal." The hobby is quite clear riding a motorcycle and the goal as described by it Shiral may sound a bit amorphous, but it is impossible not to be convinced of its sincerity "We have engraved on our banner to do good, and fight the sometimes negative stigma of motorcyclists. The membership and help, tours of heritage sites, are committed to activities in various associations in the fields of welfare, youth at risk and the plans for the future also include women's shelters and activities such as beach cleaning. " The activity with the Chasdei Naomi organization was the first of them.

The club currently has 25 members, a group that was formed over three years of their uninstitutional activity, when in the last year the club was officially established, in recent months officials (chairman, treasurer, president, responsible for various areas of activity and more) have been appointed. Did not come out of nowhere "in the last year people have learned to appreciate what was hitherto understandable for them" she explains, "they were looking for a connection with people who have a common denominator beyond the hobby but also the character.

Some of them did not join, for example, groups of super sports motorcycles that are characterized by fast riding. "

In fact the nature of the trips of this club are more like organized trips, with a preliminary team of trip planning that includes an inspection of the trip area, marshals who are responsible for checking the general integrity of the tools, that the licenses are valid, that everyone has insurance.

Riding in the convoy is done carefully, with an opening and closing rider and in coordination between all participants.

Shirel and her partner Ami, who serves as the club's vice chairman, are deep in the two-wheeler world (they own the Ami Motorcycle garage in Ramat Gan) and are the youngest members of the club at 32, the youngest in age, but not sure in spirit, because there are no less young at least Mentally, grandparents to 70-year-old grandchildren who travel with the group regularly.

The members come from everywhere, Ramat Gan and Ashkelon, from Or Yehuda to the north.

Admission to the club is open to everyone of course, but it is conditional on the process, takes time and requires commitment not only to the agreement and regulations but also to participating in the club's activities in order to create a cohesive and united group.

The reason is the desire to become an association in the future, one that can act on other levels in terms of contributing to the community and expanding the activity for goals that return to that original definition - to do good.
