Donald Trump had more than 88 million followers on Twitter - until the network banned him permanently in January of this year.

The reason was his statements about the storm on the US Capitol on January 6th.

The former US president is also no longer allowed to post on Facebook and Instagram.

Little is likely to change in the foreseeable future about these lockdowns, despite legal action by the Republican.

This is one of the reasons why the former US President Donald Trump has now presented plans for his own online network.

The "TRUTH Social" platform will be launched as a test version in November "to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech," Trump said on Wednesday.

"We live in a world where the Taliban have a large presence on Twitter, but your favorite American president has been silenced," Trump said.

"This is unacceptable."

That is why he founded the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG).

In addition to the online network, TMTG will also launch a video service that will concentrate on politically incorrect entertainment formats.

Trump was highly active on online networks during his tenure, particularly on Twitter.

Critics accuse him of provoking the storming of the Capitol during the formal confirmation of the election victory of Trump's challenger in the presidential election, Joe Biden, on January 6th.

Trump blog was done after four weeks

Trump's first attempt to establish a presence beyond the established networks had failed miserably.

In May, a new blog area was activated on the website of the former US president.

Trump published messages there such as “Breaking News!

Large numbers of dead people ›voted‹ in the 2020 presidential elections, significantly more than was previously known or seen. «He didn't have to fear a fact check like on Twitter on his own platform.

Already at the beginning of June, barely four weeks later, the blog area was no longer accessible.

The Washington Post reported at the time, referring to a Trump advisor who had asked for anonymity, that Trump had displeased that his new platform had been scoffed at.

The low number of views of the blog is said to have annoyed Trump.
