Haut-Rhin: suicide of a 14-year-old girl, harassed at college for more than two years

When Dinah joined the Émile Zola college in Kingersheim near Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin), a little over two years ago, the insults began.

And they come back regularly.

Harassed by a group of girls, the 14-year-old girl committed suicide in early October, reveals France Bleu Alsace.

An investigation is opened to determine the causes of his gesture.

According to her family, it is this bullying at school that would have pushed the young girl to suicide.

"She was being harassed since the 4th," says Rayan, the teenager's brother.

Despite a confrontation at college, his daily life would not have changed, notes the radio station.

"Next time, we hope you will manage to die"

Dinah makes her first suicide attempt in March.

The teenager receives terrible letters: "It was written:

next time, we hope you will manage to die,

 " says her brother.

Months pass and Dinah passes her patent.

She gets a very good mention, and relives the idea of ​​changing her environment.

But one day, she crosses paths with her harassers in the canteen.

On October 5, her mother found her hanged in her room.

The family plans to file a complaint: "There is an investigation in progress but we are not kept informed, explains Rayan to our colleagues at France Bleu.

We will soon file a complaint against X and we also intend to file a complaint against the college which did nothing for my sister.

We don't accept that.

Contacted by France Bleu Alsace, the Strasbourg academy “sends its condolences to Dinah's family and shares their grief.

All necessary means will be implemented to collaborate with the justice system and help the investigation.

The prosecutor of the Republic of Mulhouse confirms that the prosecution has opened an investigation: she will have to determine if the school bullying is at the origin of the suicide of Dinah.

Thursday morning, the principal of his former college was interviewed by the police.

A white march is organized this Sunday by Dinah's family in Mulhouse.

The meeting is given at 3 pm place de la Réunion.
