In the playground, one of his comrades had proposed to "beat up" the participants who would move when the game requires being.

It was an expected, dreaded drift.

A student from Toulouse was beaten up in the playground ten days ago in connection with the successful Netflix series “Squid Game”, reports France 3.

The facts happened during the lunch break.

College students played the well-known playground game “1, 2, 3 sun”.

Except that, as reported by the local channel, one of the children decided to spice up the activity with “Squid Game” sauce.

In the series, which features characters in financial difficulty pushed to participate in children's games in order to hope to win a very large sum of money, this occupation turns into a shooting for those who make the slightest movement when the immobility is required.

In the courtyard of a college in the Toulouse metropolitan area, a student proposed to “beat up” anyone who moved during the game.

Kicks to the stomach and head

Taking fear in the face of this violent turn, one of the students preferred to quit the game. This departure was taken for a movement and led to the outburst of violence, his mother told France 3. The schoolboy ran away but one of his comrades tripped him, causing him to fall.

"Once on the ground, they all started hitting him in the stomach and head", detailed the mother of the schoolboy, who decided to file a complaint.

"The game has indeed degenerated," confirmed the principal of the establishment to the chain, ensuring that disciplinary proceedings were going to be initiated.

This case is not the only example and several establishments are already concerned by this type of behavior.

But the Ministry of National Education is reassuring.

Last week, he specified to Ouest France that there was no "massive report, or even particular" after the request made to the academic directors to make feedback in the event of a problem.
