Emmy and Golden Globe-winning American screenwriter and producer David E. Kelly will produce an American adaptation of the best-selling series "Missing Case" written by Dror Mishani in collaboration with Universal Studios and Rainbow Studios.
The adaptation will be called "The Missing" and will air on Peacock, NBCUniversal's streaming service from media giant Comcast, which has booked a full season and skipped the pilot phase.
Mishani's book is already working for a TV drama in a joint production of Here 11 and Keshet 12 directed by Oded Davidoff and aired in May 2019 here and a year later in Keshet.
The book also works for a French film of the same name that did not succeed.
Kelly will be in charge of the script for the series and will be one of its producers.
Behind him are some of the most popular productions in recent years, including "Big Little Lies," "Nine Stranger Strangers," "Goliath" and "You Should Have Known" and previously signed to "LA Attorneys," "Eli Parallel," "Chicago Hope."

The plot of the series will be spread over eight episodes and will deal with the NYPD detective Avraham Avraham (in the Israeli series it was an inspector in the Holon police), whose trust in human beings is his superpower when it comes to revealing the truth. A seemingly routine interrogation turns his life around and causes him to question everything he believes in. "The novels of Dror Mishani and the character of Avraham Avraham fascinated me," Kelly said, "I immediately jumped at the chance to breathe life into them."
"David E. Kelly's interpretation of Avraham's character is original and fascinating," Mishani said. In the books, Avraham will stay in Holon for the time being. "
Along with David E. Kelly, the series will be produced by Matthew Tinker, Dror Mishani, and the people of Keshet - Avi Nir, Karni Ziv, Alon Struzman and Peter Traugot, chairman of Keshet Studios. The casting of the series has already begun.
